Summer in Japan: Transpo HARUKA-ICOCA and KYOTO bus unli

3 Days before our flight my friend purchased via online for the HARUKA-ICOCA round trip type for only JPY 4060. It includes 2 HARUKA ticket and ICOCA card worth JPY2000.

HARUKA is a discounted ticket for Kansai Airport to kyoto/osaka/shinosaka and kobe. Since we stayed at near shinosaka station HARUKA is the best transpo direct from Kansai Airport.

ICOCA card can be used on JR, subway, private railway and bus transportation and can also use in any convenience store (we tried it in family mart).

For more info read here.

picture not mine credits to the owner.

I spent ICOCA worth JPY5000 all-in for the whole trip--8 days 7 night, 5 cities in Japan.

Kyoto bus one-day pass

Transpo Computation for 8days and 7 nights:

PHP 1 JPY 0.371

Summer in Japan: Day 1 Soribashi - Shitennoji - Osaka Castle - Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori - Umeda Sky Buiding

Yown! We are super excited to explore Osaka. Below are the list of tourist spot in Osaka. :)
  • Soribashi - as far as i remember this famous bridge is in Geisha movie. This tourist spot is easy to access from the station. No entrance fee.

Wooden prayer

As a sign of respect you need to wash hands before entering the temple.
  • Garden/Park near Soribashi - this is not part in our itinerary but we enjoyed the peaceful place :) No entrance fee.

  • Shitennoji - its 20-30 min walk from Abeno station

  • Osaka Castle

I scream for ice cream green tea. Summer. JPY 500 :) #feelinglegit

Tried this shaved ice for only JPY300.
  • Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori -
Requires a LOT of walk before we saw this running Glico man Lols.

#feelinglegit Takoyaki balls! :)
  • Umeda Sky Buiding - since dotonbori requires a LOT of walk to see mr . Glico,  when we went to Umeda sky building we lost again and my feet is started crying huhuhu hahaha I want to skip this but my friend is still insisting coz we are already in the area (oo nga naman hehe). We just need to know the exact location. When we reach the umeda building its 9 or 10 pm the mall/stores around the area are closed but there is so many people queued in line. Entrance fee for the sky building is JPY 800.
Okay so this is the sky building. We didn't enter here.

I remember the feeling! Im so tired here catching my breath and I just managed to look up.

Transpo Expenses:

NB. Tipid tips: Bring your own tumbler/water. Drinks in vendomachine is cost JPY120 and up. There are available drinking fountain in the japan so if you don't have a tumbler keep your empty bottled water :)
Credits to rinna for some of the pics :)

Summer in Japan: References

I want my mind ready to Japan especially on their railway system, so what i did is searched from the internet, read blogs and then found a very reliable apps and links, oh well my objective here is to know the fare cost per ride. We did not rent a pocket wifi I just look for it then printed out. :)

My friend rinna is the one who prepared our itinerary. Where we have to go per day, what are the tourist spots in the area? where and what to eat? whats the best buy food in the city, etc etc. And I am the one for the transportation. How much is from shinosaka to kobe, how to get to umeda sky building from dotonburi? what bus number? Stop on what station? etc etc.

Imagine I studied their railway and itinerary for a month but then we still get lost HAHAHA! Though its a very nice experience, we have to figure out where are we and realized we ride a local train (local train stops every station) But then in the end of the day we still managed to go in our apartment hungry and with crying feet hehehe.

NB. If you think you are lost. Don't be shy to ask, they were glad to help you but will be difficult to converse in english like me Lels not best in english. Bus stop and train station has free wifi. :)
